Batman Volume One: I Am Gotham

I'm the sort that buys discounted volumes of comic books and goes through them at a snail's pace; it's rare that I finish a book and immediately jump into its second volume. It's especially rare that this happens with a franchise as old as Batman (iconic, well-worn, ded prrnts Batman), but Tom King and crew fiddle with the legendary's set of ethics and tropes to nail a story that sees him confront his past as well as his future in a way I'm not sure has ever been executed this well. I'm told the second volume is an improvement. Howwwwwwwww
