Nigel McGuinness vs. Bryan Danielson, from AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2024

I’m not the preeminent expert on Danielson vs. McGuinness matches and I don’t feel comfortable approximating how this fits into their oeuvre from a quality perspective (I’m not Ari Berenstein, sorry), but from what I’ve seen, their take on World Of Sport chain-wrestling operates to expose one’s weaknesses, which dictates the babyface and heel, which dictates the structure of the rest of the match. This match was the worst version of this tale I’ve seen, but their worst match is still better than the best many can conjure. I’d love to see McGuinness stick around and work Moxley, at least.
