1-2-3 Kid / X-Pac vs. Bret Hart for the WWF Championship, from the July 11, 1994 episode of WWF Monday Night Raw

This looks good on paper, and it is! Hart, distracted by storyline drama, leans on his instincts to get him through this one, but the Kid, motivated by the chance to become WWF Champion, has most of Hart’s repertoire scouted and has brutal counters lined up. This causes Hart to snap out of it and give Kid the fight of his life, but Kid counters that by basically messing up his own back to keep pace with the champion. Hart could probably have had a match this good every night of his career if WWF knew what they were doing.
