A Quiet Place

There are plenty of films I enjoy that aren’t hurting for plot consistencies or outright holes, but they either keep the flaws to a minimum or otherwise engender enough goodwill that these aren’t ruinous. Not since “Red Dead Redemption” have I experienced a work that destroys its entire worth with plot holes in its first ten minutes in so complete a manner, and the bonkers logic doesn’t let up for the whole of “A Quiet Place”’s runtime. Was this supposed to be a comedy? Only Emily Blunt working overtime as the mother keeps this trash from being simply the worst.
