The closest thing to a complaint I can lodge against this war is that, between juggling eight names, team alignment, and relationships between combatants, this is a terrible place to start for joshi noobs. Those who can tell Cutie Suzuki from Kyoko Inoue, however, are in for a treat with the greatest multi-woman match of all time, a convincing and competitive hour built on evolving power dynamics and hard-hitting action that occasionally dips into attempted murder, culminating with an unforgettable finish that pays off every angle introduced in the previous hour. Also, Aja Kong busts out the package piledriver. Nice.
