Arrested Development (Season Four)

For as many risks were made in making this season, the biggest missteps are the common mistakes of Netflix’s exclusive content—jokes going on too long, the occasional weirdly out of place dip into adult themes, and episodes lasting three minutes longer than they should. Once the groundwork is properly laid and the ball starts rolling, though, this is as proper a season of “Arrested Development” as the three that came before it, with the new format being justified by the entire cast going through enough story to justify their own films. The weakest season, yes, but still quite good.
