Bad Trip
Part of me wants to interpret this as parodical of Adam Sandler films (this is basically a Sandler flick as a hidden camera comedy), but that might be giving Eric Andre and company too much credit, and if there IS meaning to be found, it’s as takedown of immature “adult” comedies. It’s a good thing, then, that “Bad Trip” is hysterical on top of being constructed well, far better than most “Jackass” knockoffs with surprising turns from Michaela Conlin (“Bones”) and Tiffany Haddish. This probably would have bombed in theaters but delighted the meager audiences that gave it a chance.
