Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar

With its extreme surreal humor that can read as profoundly stupid to the ungenerous, I get the feeling this will be divisive. Mumelo and Wiig previously wrote the wonderful “Bridesmaids”, but this plays out more like an “Austin Powers” spinoff, and whether you’re going to be on board with it will depend how much you enjoy it. Personally, I went in not having any idea how I was going to react and ended up cackling throughout. Special praise should go to the guy from the “Fifty Shades” films that, shocker of shockers, is quite the game and effective comic actor.
