Barry (Season Two)
The key telling difference of quality between “Barry”’s first two seasons is that its sophomore season demands a follow-up while its debut season could have been its last without complaint. It takes season two a while to get on par with the dramatic and comedic heights of that first season, and the season is almost done before it really gets cooking. It’s saying a lot about the quality of this season’s latter half that I’m giving the whole thing such a high score, with “ronny/lily” a strong candidate for the greatest comedy put on television in at least years.
