Batman: Return of the Joker (NES version)

Another instance of Sunsoft attaching a licensed product to a blank slate. I’m aware that Batman has used guns before, but there’s no getting around how weird it looks to have him use one as his main mode of combat, even in a game built around that conceit. “Return” is fine enough, never spectacular or exemplary but definitely not bad. AVGN complained about the game’s difficulty spike, but it really doesn’t become excessively difficult. The biggest negative against “Return” is that it is a platforming game with shooting elements on a console with so many better titles using this formula.
