Before Midnight (2013 film)

The “Before” trilogy ends with its most conventional and devastating entry. It is, like the others, a series of conversations focused on two people in love (and anyone not interested in what could’ve been a radio play are free to see themselves out), but they’re older, believe themselves wiser, and snipe at each other where they use to playfully josh, and the build-up to the inevitable fight at the end hits like a train partially because the audience has been prodded and primed for it to happen. Arguably the worst “Before” film, but there’s still a lot to take in.
