Blade Runner 2049

"To strangers."

For this film to exist takes a kind of madness. PK Dick doesn't have a monopoly on cyberpunk; revisiting "Blade Runner"'s concepts could have been done without taking on the onus of being a sequel to a cult classic (that spectacularly bombed on its release) UNLESS someone had the bonkers idea of continuing its story, and the only way that could work would entail, at the very least, putting an up-and-coming visionary director at the helm and having one of the best actors of our generation as the lead. All told, "2049" is almost as good as "Sicario".
