Brawlout

Imagine you wanted to play a platform fighter like “Super Smash Bros.” but didn’t want to shell out for “Ultimate” and its DLC, wasn’t charmed by “Brawlhalla”, and respond negatively to the phrase “Slap City”. That’s a ludicrous scenario, but that’s the only conditions in which recommending “Brawlout” makes sense. The characters all feel wrong, there’s no joy to the play, and while I’m sure there’s plenty of depth to be had, the scene is so dead that the only people left are sharks that will rip apart your guppy ass. You’ve better options, is what I’m trying to say.
