Canvas (2020 short film)

I don’t want to give the impression this is bad, it isn’t, but it’s hard to drum up enthusiasm for this one given how much easier it is to recommend other works that tackle similar themes. It’s obvious what is going to happen and how it’s going to happen from the start, and it never bucks or twists expectation, choosing instead to go all in on the presentation. It looks good, but I was never blown away or wowed. There are plenty of worse ways to spend ten minutes, but don’t expect this to be nominated for an Academy Award.
