Cave Story + (Switch version)

I can see how I might have loved "Cave Story" if I hadn't waited until now to experience it. I might have been more generous to its attempts at storytelling (a simple plot that can be charted from the start, with flashes of character development that never work save one moment) and excused its lax difficulty with "well, some people might have trouble with it". "Cave Story" isn't terrible, but its fans have made it out to be a masterpiece rather than a good but uninspired adventure. Perhaps the novelty boosted "Cave Story"'s worth in the eyes of many. Whatever.
