Chainsaw Man Volume One

I’d like to think I’m a smart dude, so you can imagine how dumb I felt when I found myself stunned by the amount of violence in this, a comic book that’s literally named “Chainsaw Man”. (In my slight defense, half the population of this series seems to have downed an Advil before being sliced open.) The stated goals of the main character seem immature so far, but there’s enough exhibited wit elsewhere that I trust this is a stopgap before his true motivation shows up. If nothing else, it’s plenty more engaging than “Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru”.
