Doctor Sleep (2019 film, KFC Rocket League Snickers Slim Jim Super Ultra Arcade Remix Hyper three-hour cut watched for review)

There are a couple of good scenes, and there’s enough strength to the concept that maybe I would have responded better to the book. (I’ve been told large parts, including the climax, are completely different.) Nonetheless, this long cut felt like 80 minutes of a whole lot of nothing much, followed by trying to fit 2.5 hours of story into 100 minutes. The leads do a good job and I liked some of the special effects, but this was a horror film that wasn’t scary, with a story that wasn’t as strong as it could’ve been. Still better than “Hush”.
