Donkey Kong Country 2

It’s taken me this long to finish this, frequently cited as one of the best and hardest games on the Super Nintendo, and to be completely honest, it feels like it’s starting to hit its stride right when the final boss fight occurs. I’ll not argue it is better and harder than the first title, but the most impressive levels, to me, were the most ambitious areas that likely frustrated younger gamers such as Bramble Scramble and Web Woods, and the lesser material was fine but never indicative of a game deserving of superlative praise. Very good, but slightly overrated.
