This one has been getting “show of the year” accolades from peeps who are into indie wrestling, but while I think this was a fine show, PWG this was not. The main event bouts rocked my socks off, but everything up until then felt like a filler episode of NXT, including Caleb Konley vs. TJ Perkins, a well-executed bout whose beats could be called by anyone who has seen more than three “epic” indie matches. Acceptable work all around that would have made for an okay episode of NXT elevated by the standout big matches. Also, less Matt Riddle, please.
