GCW Nick Gage Invitational 7

I went into this apprehensive of the expected level of violence (I enjoy some hardcore wrestling, but this marks the first time I’ve ever watched a deathmatch tournament), but only one of the seven tourney matches tested my stomach. The rest, however, mostly painted inside the same lines with a limited palette, and while keeping the action light-hearted arguably rendered this accessible, there’s only so many times I can laugh at seeing an inappropriate use of light tubes in two hours. Thank goodness the best performer of the night was booked to make it to the finals. Wacky and inoffensive.
