Goldberg vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, from the July 6, 1998 episode of WCW Monday Nitro

This is all atmosphere, from the overexaggerated lockups at the beginning to the most famous toilet rolls in the history of wrestling at the end. That Hogan did so little that he probably didn’t have to shower after this knocks a lot of prestige off what could’ve (and likely should’ve) been a huge PPV payday, but this bizarre match gets you on its side through its presentation, one critical production cue aside. Bobby Heenan going berserk, the crowd roaring at the opening bell, Karl Malone making things awkward because of what’s come out about him since—wrestling is really weird.
