Homefront (2013 film)

Bad former cop gets chased by bad guys because drugs. High concept stuff. Most involved—James Statham, Winona Ryder, Kate Bosworth, even Clancy Brown—take this tepid 90’s action film, released in 2013, seriously. James Franco, meanwhile, looks like he wants to finish every take ASAP so he can go back on Tinder, a bad sign for a film leaning on the performance of its devious, calculating heavy. Also a bad sign: having hardly any action in it. The laughable CG is an infrequent highlight. File this away with all of the other films on Netflix with illogically generous scores.
