Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit) (revisited)

“Fahrenheit” spends so long doing everything right, it’s almost heartbreaking when it jumps the shark. I have no problem granting there are several scenes after the first knockoff “Matrix” encounter that are unironically good scenes, but the goodwill earned with its opening hours is long expired by that point and the growing tower of inexplicable plot points becomes so unwieldy, the typical rote fan theory talk that plagues any property such as this (“GAME THEORY: You’re Actually Crazy All Along!”) is easier to believe than the story told here, and that’s not even getting into the rampant misogyny and racism.
