Kenny Omega vs. Kazuchika Okada (no time limit, best two out of three falls) for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, from New Japan Dominion 2018

With three singles matches behind them totaling a cumulative 131 minutes of in-ring action, it would have been easy for these two to hit and reverse their big spots, call it "psychology", then finally hit fifth gear in the last minute. Omega and Okada, however, are at their storytelling peak as performers and use these spots as parts of a larger story, of Omega's newfound determination following his embracing the light vs. Okada's desparation to hold on to the trophy that has come to define his identity. It's brutal, it's beautiful, it's one of the greatest matches I've ever seen.
