Kirby’s Dream Land

“Kirby’s Dream Land” is a heavily flawed game. It is too short, too basic, too easy, and too straightforward. I’m willing to overlook those flaws because what it nails, it hits hard. This is the right kind of charming game, the one that keeps telling new jokes and finding ways of making you smile while hitting the mark in terms of game feel (but yes, the lack of powers hurts). You can see everything this game has to offer in an hour, but it feels so welcoming that this will be far from the only hour I spend with it.
