Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (revisited)

The magic of “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” is best exemplified by how it does a bunch of things that read as typical or even poor on the page: frequent fourth wall breaks, RDJ being unattached at times and overly verbose all the time, and a finale so hokey, someone may as well say “AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT”. With KKBB, however, it’s all endearing, thanks to tight pacing, immaculate writing such that everything is setup or punchline, and arguably career-best performances from the main trio (easier arguments for some). A better Christmas film than “Die Hard”, come at me.
