The worst part of the wrestling boom of the late 1990s was the wrestling. The characters, promos, and atmosphere for poorly aged publicity stunts may have made for intoxicating television at the time but tune in to the main event of an average Nitro and you’ll get Hogan finding a dozen ways to poke someone in the eye (Raw main events usually weren’t as bad). I quickly zoned out on this and only woke up for the finishing sequence, much like the crowd, who started off hot but quickly piped down when nothing happened slowly. Do not watch this match.
