Lo más sencillo es complicarlo todo

Mean girl likes nice man. Nice man loves nice woman. Mean girl sets out to get rid of nice woman. It's not necessarily a bad thing that you can call where this is going from just that much (it's a romantic comedy, the magic is all in the execution), but "Complicarlo" is stuck up its own ass with in-jokes and references to other, better films in lieu of trying to better itself. The protagonist is utterly unlikeable, the stakes are low, hardly anything happens, and the best recurring gag involves a shirtless fat man. Really bad, but I've seen worse.
