Mappy-Land (version found in the Switch port of “Namco Museum Archives Volume Two” played for review)

This is as bad as “Mappy”, which is to say it isn’t a disaster and that makes it better than many Atari sequels. It’s bad, though, an uninteresting mess that just doesn’t play all that well. It’s basically more “Mappy” that sacrifices visual clarity for more appealing visuals, and while that can result in unneeded failstates, it’s not like this ruins the formula because the formula wasn’t all that good to begin with. It’s inoffensive and I can see how it might have made for a fun rental, but the Game Grumps glitch remains the best thing associated with it.
