Ms. Marvel (Generation Why)

The most refreshing, exciting, and overall successful bit of superhero media from Disney since “Black Panther”; fingers crossed that this first episode isn’t a fluke. That said, between the sharp writing, wonderful cinematography, and winning performances (especially from Iman Vellani, effervescent, engaging, and jocular in a manner far above what one could reasonably ask of someone in their first acting role), if this IS a fluke, it’s a one in a million shot. I went into this skeptical and a little bit off by some of the previews and I was completely won over by the end of the hour.
