Pathologic 2: Marble Nest (PS4 version played on PS5 for review)
As a game, this functions as a tutorial, rendering its status as paid DLC totally baffling; imagine “Mega Man X” starting with the robot select screen unless you paid a little extra. As a short story, this was hilarious to me, someone familiar enough with Daniil Dankovsky (and “Pathologic”) to see the humor of him being forced to reckon with his own mortality and knowing he will do everything in his power to just not learn the lesson. He spends the whole of this story getting undermined and played, aggravating in any other context but thoroughly earned here. He sucks!
