Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game

The big, dumb secret about “Scott Pilgrim” is that it expects you to frequently use its shops. Keep an eye out for upgrades and health items and supposed killer flaw of levels that are too long with enemies that hit too hard will invert to one possibly having the opposite of those problems. It’s loose emulation of “River City Ransom”, I guess, though even the old games did a better job of signposting this sort of play. Better brawlers are available, though most don’t have as much charm as “Scott Pilgrim”. Whether that’s the deciding factor is up to you.
