Shawn Michaels vs. Undertaker to determine the number-one contender for the WWF Championship (Hell In a Cell), from WWF In Your House – Badd Blood

There was debate at the time surrounding which of the WWF’s three acclaimed 1997 matches was the best, but there’s no denying this is the bout that best leans into the company’s over-the-top sense of theater. Michaels and Undertaker would arguably put on a better match over a decade later, but as the midpoint between McMahon’s “we make movies” philosophy as well as the natural acumen of the participants, this is about as good as you could ask for. Still the greatest Hell In A Cell match, and it will likely not be topped considering second-place almost featured a fatality.
