She’s All That

For as likable as its leads are, for as spirited as its script is (thanks in part to M. Night Shyamalan?), and for as adorable as its late-90s aesthetic is, “She’s All That” is still a film in which a young woman fits in with the popular crowd thanks to a makeover that is so plainly unnecessary, the satire was writing itself before the ink was dry on this script. Also, everyone becomes an idiot in the third act. It’s not a horrible film, but there’s a reason “Ten Things I Hate About You” still gets love and this doesn’t.
