Soul (2020 film)

There’s much to love about the visuals and soundtrack here. I don’t think this is the most visually stunning Pixar film, but I’d not take issue if someone says this is the studio’s artistic peak, and Finch and Reznor are gold. It’s unfortunate this is in service of a narrative full of plot holes and implausible conveniences (for starters: “hey, the only magic wizard on Earth that can help us lives less than a mile away, what are the chances?!”). Children won’t mind these flaws because they’ll be too confused by the existential nature of the rest of the film.
