The big difference between a good Rumble and a bad Rumble comes with the convergence of personalities. This is the easiest way to get main eventers to rub shoulders with low tier talent, and the 2001 edition lets these sort of interactions not only happen but mean something. Scotty 2 Hotty might be ten pounds of joy in a five pound sack, but his best joke comes from hs totally rational reaction to facing down Kane and the Undertaker at the same time. There are a few dead spots where not much happens, but most of this is an easy, joyous watch.
