The Conjuring

My adoration for horror media stems chiefly from the genre’s potential to tell stories that would be impossible to convey with as much strength as through the lens of comedy or drama. (I also have a sweet tooth for horror’s gleeful audacity, though, who doesn’t?) This predictable crap, in other words, is the sort of unfun, mindless garbage that recent genre movements have worked to repudiate. Thank you, scare chords, for telling me when something is supposed to be scary, I’m trying to develop a Pavlovian response to these elements on par with what the neurotypicals feel. Boring and stupid.
