The Leftovers (Season Three)

The final season of the best show of the decade (really, that’s soft-selling its merits) isn’t just the best collection of episodes of “The Leftovers” but a conclusion to a story that began with the first episode. That a show with Damon Lindelof behind the scene is wild is no great surprise, but unlike “Lost”, the show feels like its conclusion was planned from the start, the sort of compliment most landmark television can’t claim (“Breaking Bad” comes to mind, but what else?). How often does a great series end with one of its strongest hours? Watch this damn show.
