The Lion King (Game Boy and Super Game Boy versions)
If there’s a kind word to say about the console adaptations of one of the most important films of all time, it is that, for as poorly as some of its concepts might have aged, at least it isn’t as busted and unplayable as these ports. Jumping is a chore—heck, walking is a chore. The B&W version obscures many enemy sprites, but the color version looks terrible. Even the music is horrible, 8-bit renditions so discordant that it can take too long to identify the likes of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”. Hysterically awful, at the very least.
