The Rehearsal (Season One)

Is this show moral? Ethical? Legal, even? Those might be necessary questions for someone to ask (and answer), but at this time, that person is not me. I am in awe of this emotional, horrifying, hysterical journey, starting from a place that amounted to “if Nathan Fielder had more money on his last show” and ended up on “existential terror as written by Charlie Kaufman”. Perhaps this was all schadenfreude, and the curtain will only be lifted five years from now, but for the time being, “The Rehearsal” represents close to the peak of the creative possibilities of non-fiction television.
