Who Killed Captain Alex?

That the question posed in the title is never answered is among the least-crazy aspects of this Ugandan film that had a budget of $85. A seemingly-drunk narrator (he prefers the term “video joker”) serves as a hype man for what’s basically a bunch of action scenes tied together with the loosest of excuse plots, and while the special effects and choreography are hysterically awful, they’re the sort of hysterically-awful that backflip into marvelous comedy, to the point that I’d unironically recommend this film. The repeated use of a panpipe cover of “Kiss From a Rose” deserves its own mention.
