WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game (SNES version)

Released at a time when video games and the WWF were arguably at their most obnoxious, “WWF WrestleMania: The Arcade Game” is what you’d call a button-basher. Its combat system (a bastardized version of “Mortal Kombat” that seems to relish in warping perspective) is not a thing to be mastered so much as tolerated, because wrestling fans are known for their patience. It tries to make up for its gameplay shortcomings by throwing a whole bunch of ear-splitting, obnoxious noises at you, not an unusual practice for its time. A shallow broken game, even when compared to other 1994 fighters.
