“Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules” by A.J. Mendez Brooks

Fair warning: this isn't much of a book about wrestling. Mendez enters a ring for the first time halfway through the book, and her writing voice is more John Green than Chris Jericho. Her life story is more about overcoming bipolar disorder than making it in the wrestling business, and her snarky wit and colorful prose go a long way to assauge rocky story structure. It is a short read that I don't feel shortchanged by as Mendez packs in a lot in these pages. "Crazy Is My Superpower" isn't a great book, but it is an immensely likeable one.
