Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle

A comedic take on “X-Com”, a title known for its brutal difficulty and unforgiving nature? This probably shouldn’t work, but it works far more than it doesn’t. My chief complaints come from the difficulty being too forgiving for too long as well as frequent load times and other instances of poor optimization you wouldn’t expect from a title involving Nintendo properties (they made the console, come on now). Flies in the ointment, however, when up with how charming and humorous it often is, and the post-campaign missions briefly convey the realized potential of this concept. Gun for the whole family.
