5 Days a Stranger

I know there’s a lot to nitpick about this game and the sequel and the fourth game and I don’t want to say the critiques don’t have merit, but for being popcorn stories that aim to be ninety minutes of fun, I don’t know, you could do a hell of a lot worse than this. “Stranger” easily has the best scare of any of these games and I preferred the final puzzle here to the more-celebrated conclusion of “Notes”, though check the AGS site or load up RPG Maker and much of this game’s magic dies. Inessential but very enjoyable.
