A Second Face

This classically-styled adventure game got a decent amount of press when it was released. Seven years later, it is pretty obvious that its initial positive reception was spurred by our thirst for ANYTHING in this genre. It is obtuse for its own sake, never poorly executed but certainly far below a standard most would find acceptable, and the puzzles are just kind of okay. I dig certain aspects of the art style, but the game really shows the shallow limits of the AGS engine as everything chugs even on a decent machine. A curious play, but not an engaging one.
