Arcane (Welcome to the Playground)

By the admittedly low standards of television shows targeted to an older audience that are based on video games, “Arcane” shines early. The action is good, being well-shot with wholly consistent logic within its fantastical setting, and the exposition that dominates the second half of the episode is basically fine even as “exposition dominates the second half of the episode” hints at a pacing problem I’m hoping is cleared up in future episodes. If you’re looking for a CG cartoon with fancy explosions to have a fun time with, here you go. Point subtracted for the Imagine Dragons theme song.
