Arrested Development (Season Two)

It isn’t easy to make a season of manic, effective comedy with a cast of assholes. Making another season built with the same ingredients? This season is a little better than the first, too, and gives the cast a lot more to work with. More than all of that is that the writing and construction of these episodes are a lot tighter—the subplots now come together as reflections and commentary on central themes, making the show more akin to “Game of Thrones” than most other comedies. This makes the restraint put on by FOX suits feel much more tangible.
