Arrow (Season One)
Turns out a good way to write a superhero origin story is to start with "like Batman, but" and then adding on a good dozen different qualifiers. Example: like Batman, but with a social circle that ensures story threads are introduced through character development over blatant contrivance, or LBB it keeps flashing back to before he was Batman to create a multi-layered origin story. These differences make "Arrow" a better "Batman" show than "Gotham", and the thin layer of cheese on it helps the whole package go down smooth. A complaint: this season really didn't need to have twenty-three episodes.
