“Marvel Studios took 60 years of comics continuity, used it to create 20 plus individual films that all manage to be engrossing and entertaining standalone films at worst, and thrilling studies of loss, patriotism, faith, family, heroism and love at best, which also individually contribute to a large-scale cosmic narrative that fulfilled all the promise of the individual films without diminishing them in any way. In fifty years, most of the films on the AV Club’s list will have been forgotten. Marvel’s films will live forever. “Mad Max: Fury Road” is fine.” -an actual real thing I read one time
